Haptic Take Two (Plus a Little Jun Ji Hyun)

I think it’s absurd that Jun Ji Hyun shot her commercials separately from the Dong Bang boys, but not quite as absurd as I find these commercials overly serious. (And hey, maybe she was busy…??)

The Anycall Haptic is an overpriced phone with lots of doo-hickeys on it. It has nothing to do with love or sorrow (it is, after all a cellphone). To be fair, the Anycall phone that BoA, Junsu and Tablo promoted had nothing to do with totalitarianism or Brazil but they were nice commercials that came with good songs. And at least the first set of DBSK Anycall commercials were fun and funny. These new commercials are just too much. I give you, Anycall “Colorful Love” (vomit). (After the jump!) Read more »

Kim Tae Hee vs SNSD and DBSK

LG has a new iPhone-wannabe phone that uses haptic technology out. They’re using Kim Tae Hee aka the 12-inch face to promote their phone, which is called the LG Cyon Disco Phone (I won’t even comment ont he ridiculousness of that name). 

Who wins? LG Cyon Disco promoted by Kim Tae Hee, her small face and more stupid dancing…

or the Anycall Haptic promoted DBSK, SNSD and contrived romantic situations?

 

They’re both pretty silly but Anycall Haptic wins this hands down. Kim Tae Hee just continues to make a fool of herself. No offense to her but it is clear that either she or her management care little about being able to act and a lot about making money. *sigh* I guess she didn’t take my advice on getting a real job…

DBSK and SNSD in the Anycall Haptic Commercial

DBSK and SNSD’s Anycall commercial hit youtube some hours ago. I shouldn’t be writing this… I should be studying for my finals tomorrow… but campy Korean commercials are anyone’s weakness!

Haptic means pertaining to the sense of touch. In technology, “haptic technology” is basically anything that responds to touch, like the iPhone or Nintendo DS etc. this phone is a touch screen hence the name, Anycall Haptic. So many iPhone contenders popping up. First it was the Venus and now this. 

I’m not too sure what’s going on but this commercial looks like they had so much fun making it. Which makes me feel like I wanna be a famous Korean popstar and make fun commercials (even if I’ll be malnourished, overworked, underpaid and potentially a member of SNSD…) Haha, Nanchatte!

I love how Junsu has what is basically a “cameo”. He just pops up randomly and points. (This may not be random, but once again, I haven’t the foggiest idea what’s going on.)
