“Red Sunset” for you
Soooo. Big Bang is blowing it up right now. 200,000 pre-orders and happy-go-lucky music video.
Basically, I like the video but the song is rather boring. Happy though but I really don’t feel it the way I felt their older music.
The guys looks great and are cute and all that good stuff, and I’m happy they’re drawing attention to the beach and are doing nice things, but all these things, for me, are separate from their music. I like that their image is where it used to be but I’d rather they still wore eye-liner and gave me a better title song.
Anyway, I won’t make complete judgments yet, I still have to listen to the rest of the album. I’m doing a track-by-track review here and another op-ed with Amy, when we both get our shit together. But this is what I wrote on SB.

hmm.. admittedly it was an upbeat song, but it didn’t really blow me away like the previous ones?? hopefully the rest of the album will be nothing less than awesome:)
wait, is it a remake, i swear i’ve heard this melody somewhere before…WGM?? anyone knows??

I’ve been checking your site for Remember review all day lol. I thought the video was good too, fun. But the song was kinda boring. Maybe it takes time to warm up.
But i’ve listened to the whole album and yea.. not feeling it.. yet. I’m still anticipating your review though^^. Zackie, I think someone mentioned somewhere that the song is a remake.. BigBang-flavour style.
PS: Yay, Obama won! Not really into politics, but good wishes from malaysia.

The video was fun to watch, really. I like the song thought I am not as crazy about it as I was with their previous songs. Still, it’s good to see BB exploring different genres.
Definitely my favorite song in the whole album was Seungri’s solo. The beats of that song are just incredible. I love it!
I’ll look forward to your review.

I think its not bad… I dont know I think some of us including me.. I expect too much out of big bang… and they in comparison to other singer groups…also have acting schedules and so much more variety shows incomparison to other bands.. just for one group member to write the songs is hard enough.. and when it comes to other bands i think you should judge them just the same… unless if YG starts to get other song writters to come in and completely take over to write songs for big bang instead….it would have probably gotten worse…
and with that said.. I hope they get a break to try harder or something? I remember lies was written during a VERY long break… I guess its a really good job that they managed to come out with something… I think their still on that line to explore after all they are a pretty new band.. Dont be too hard on them bah..
