The Internet [and Why I Want to Kill It Right Now]
If you’ve been on the DBSK thread over at Soompi you may want to either shoot yourself or your computer as well.
This is a rant. …If you couldn’t tell.
God, people are so annoying on that thread and since you can’t say shit over there without a thousand other people shitting themselves I shall rant here. I hate that now the news has started to credit forums and blogs as valid sources of the news. I know, I write in a blog and most of what is my random ramblings and at the base there is the news (like an album release or movie box office results). But I don’t pretend that I’m The New York Times.
Anyway, if you’ve been on the DBSK Soompi thread you’ll know what’s pissing me off so much. The whole situation that shall remain unnamed is so stupid. I feel like I’m in a Harry Potter book and all I want to do is yell, “VOLDEMORT!! VOLDEMORT!!” I hate that people are taking this so seriously. Along with the fact that no one knows where the boys are people seem to be going into a panic and moderators are having a hard time keeping the peace.
I just got warned for mentioning someone that wasn’t in dbsk in the thread. It’s said that you can’t even mention someone else related directly to the topic of the thread for fear that people will go off on a tangent about that person and lose sight of the thread.
In the end I think that this whole thing will go away in no time. I mean, Jae Joong got pulled over for drunk driving and that isn’t even mentioned anymore (except right now to illustrate a point…) The internet is only what we make it.
