Rivals

I was really looking forward to Chae Rim’s new drama, I got a bit discouraged by Dramabeans’ review but then remembered how much I loved On Air and she didn’t so I gave Rivals a try.

Dramabeans was so on point with how I feel about the show, except I may not have laughed as much as her. I’ve only watched the first two episodes though and it may get better. The only reason why I’m going to keep watching is because KST is taking 1000 freaking Arabian nights to release subs for On Air and I need something to watch as procrastination from studying for finals.

Off to watch episodes three and four.

Let me know how Rivals work out for you…..I’m hesitant about it too but I’d love to be proved wrong.

Funny you bring up KST….I know some of the people working over there and I think they’re definitely not used to subbing such a popular drama for the English-speaking masses. I still think it’s nice of WITHS2 to let another group work on it knowing that it won’t be as efficient as if they did it….but every group’s gotta start somewhere right? :)

I freaking love this show for how hilariously bad and over the top they are. I don’t agree with Dramabeans about this show and I’m definitely watching it through to the end. The thing that I like most are the outlandishly cliched love triangle scenes that they’re setting up right now that you KNOW are going to be used in a shit ton of flashbacks later on when either male / female is starting to “feel” “feelings” and blah blah blah. Like that seen when Gwan Pil teachers her how to properly hold a gun and shoot?! HOLY COW it just SCREAMS flashback when Chae Rim’s character is starting to maybe be interested in Gwan Pil or vice versa. Ahahahahahahaa I’m gonna enjoy myself so much :D

Looks like there’ll be more layers to the story to be peeled off in the upcoming weeks, as there’s some speculations going on about Gwan Pil’s past. Some make sense, some don’t. But just to know there’ll be more story, it’s somewhat.. intriguing. And plus, this is the one drama that I can finally say: Lee Jin Wook did a great job potraying his character. :D

Great blog you have here, btw =)

    Thanks, ay_link.
I saw eps 3 and 4 and love it even more.
Can’t wait to watch more and I agree, I think the past is without a doubt very interesting stuff.
