Hitomi Tayama Sets Record for Largest Photo Album
This is awesome. Hitomi Tayama went to Vietnam to shoot her photo album Women of Vietnam. It is full of portraits of Vietnamese women (as you may have been able to guess.) The photo album weighs about 2200 pounds and it is 157ft by 118ft.
Looking at the two pictures, though, it seems like it might have been a waste of paper. Not because the pictures are ugly but because, considering the nature of the portraits, the size makes them look like advertisements. I think making the photo book so big is more about the novelty of it and less about the artist thinking that the book had to be large to suit some artistic purpose.
But still, this is really cool and you’ll see Tayama in the Guiness Book of World Records’ next publication. (Along with DBSK!)

And the pictures look…..errr….slightly…..well, I wasn’t expecting them when I read it was taken in Vietnam…I was thinking beautiful sceneries or something. XD
