Way to be vague but Rain is being a tease and only revealing that he is to be the main character of a Hollywood film. Since his English, last time I heard, wasn’t that great, I’m curious as to what the movie is about. I hope it’s not a stereotypical film like the ones Jang Dong Gun and Park Joon Hyung are signed on to do but considering the ignorance that still exists in Hollywood I doubt that Rain is the star of some romantic comedy. Well, I know it’s not a romantic comedy because Rain’s management has also revealed that he is doing an action film. Will Rain be the next Will Smith or the next Jackie Chan or the next flop at the box office?

Will Smith = One of the few non-Caucasion actors that can command a box office no matter what genre of movie he is in.
Jackie Chan = Famous for being in kung fu movies but might not be taken seriously in anything more emotionally stirring than Rush Hour.
Flop = Song Hy Gyo’s indie flick makes more than his Hollywood action movie and he returns to Korea with his tail between his legs.

Let’s hope he’ll be the next Will Smith! (Even if you don’t like Rain it’s about time Asians, and any minority for that matter, stop getting horribly type cast in Hollywood films.)
