I’ll warn you now, the topic of this post is from 2006. I just happened upon some clips of Big Bang’s The Real concert. I’m just talking about some of the performances that particulary stood out to me. Whether it was because I was impressed, they made laugh, cry (from shame) and/or just get really fan girl giddy. If you want to read this useless post, you’ll find videos and raving after the jump.

I don’t know what to say. I’m a relatively new Big Bang fan, I’m used to the Lies and Last Farewell Big Bang, not the She Can’t Get Enough Big Bang, so I was actually surprised when I saw their performance of it at The Real.

I thought that that Big Bang sexy/whorey image was new for the Japanese or for the world audiences but no, they were sexed up way before they started singing in English.

First, Seungri does a pelvic thrust, eh, I brushed it off. When they were grinding, I was like, aww, how cute, they’re grinding…. Then Daesung is surrounded by writhing, scantily dressed women and I’m thinking, Awkward… and then Big Bang was getting their shirts lifted up by the back up dancers and I was thinking, well, this is rather fiesty isn’t it? And then the girls just full on rip off their shirts. And I started cracking up, thinking What the $%#@? Oh my GOD. Then I proceeded to watch it again.

But the best part is the reaction of the fans. The girls are in total awe. I was laughing so hard when I saw the girl at 3:14-ish who just wasn’t moving from sheer shock.

And I just have to mention Dae Sung at 1:48 and G-Dragon at 1:50…(when the back up dancers are lifting up their shirts) Daesung’s going to faint from all the misplaced sexual energy and G-Dragon looks like he does this every morning after breakfast.

And while watching this, I also think about Tae Yang who supposedly still has never had a girlfriend…he must be loving this performance. I think this is also the performance where Seungri though one of the back up dancers was flirting with him and started to like her. Oh, the Big Bang boys. I just can’t get enough.

Top’s Solo Big Boy
Didn’t like this performance or this song, he hardly raps. He just says, “Raise your hands in the air!” and “It the Big Bang and the T-O-P!” A thousand times.
I just have to note the fact that he has BIG written over the crotch of his pants… neccessary? Not really.
3:17 The crowd goes WILD… What they’re yelling is simultaneously “Get off him bitch!” and “I wish that were me!” I’m just thinking that that girl really can’t sing.

SOS (G-Dragon, TOP, TaeYang)

Oh God, they dress up as little school girls (G-Dragon looks like Madeline) and dance and sing to a song that sounds as if it were written for Girl’s Generation. TOP is the ugliest girl ever. Really, just…I mean the hair… and… it was all just bad. Tae Yang is not a pretty girl either. G-Dragon is a decent girl. I was laughing so hard during this performance. It so interesting that usually when someone defends the crossdressing they call it fanservice, which I guess it is because there really would be no other reason to embarass them selves that way, but I’m one fan that prefers the manlier side of Big Bang and any male group for that matter.
Once again, the funniest part was a fan. At 2:07: She just had a bemused smile. She looks about 19 and not really interested in a crossdressing hiphop group.
Dae Sung pops out of NOWHERE and he’s not wearing a shirt for some mysterious reason…Actually, he’s wearing the front of a t-shirt tuxedo or something that is only to be worn in Chipn’dales (which is a male strip club).
