Rights to Seven Days Bought… Already?!
Kim Yun Jin’s new Korean film Seven Days. The Movie just came out on in Korea (November 14th) and Hollywood already wants to remake it. Admittedly the plot of the movie is very interesting. It is about a lawyer that, in order to save her kidnapped child, must prove the innocence of a man accused of murdering a college student.

I would love to see that and this would add to a long list of Korean remakes. Summit Entertainment bought the rights to the film. Erik Feig, the president of production at Summit Entertainment said they bought the rights because, “”Seven Days” begins with one of the strongest premises we have seen and keeps you on the edge of the seat until one of the best twist endings. It is a non-stop thrill ride with a completely relatable story and hero and we cannot wait to make the Hollywood version”.

The remake is also going to start shooting in 2008. In Korea the original film is number 9 at the box Office.
The rights to The Host have also been bought. But I hope they don’t ruin that movie.
