Just saw this movie today and… WOW. It got an NC-17 rating here in the states and that’s the harshest rating you can get. I was interested to see the big sex scene that was put the movie into the NC-17 category. When I did I was not remotely prepared for it. The film is about 2 and a half hours long and the sex scenes in the film are only about ten minutes but when there is sex–it’s in your face.
This movie is excellent and I suggest everyone at an apropriate age and mindset go see it. Tony Leung is amazing as usual, a little scary in this part as well. Tang Wei a complete new comer was outstanding. This movie sits with you for a while after yo leave. I’m still recovering.
I love Ang Lee! The music in this movie is to die for and the shots were…breathtaking. The movie wasn’t perfect but it was great. Go see it.

oh yea we went to see that together, with Min right? JEEEZ i know, about those sex scenes… i really didnt expect to get testicles right on and ass smacking galore. what the hell was that all about.. i mean.. im sure there were stunt doubles… i mean.. maybe not. we saw her vajayjay and her breasts, so why not his gross testicles pounding against her bottom? that was by far the most uncomfortable ive ever felt in a movie theater witnessing such things with my friends………………………………………………………………………………………………… .
