Lee Jun Ki playing ANOTHER Sissy Gangster…Maybe in Tights

Lee Jun Ki is set to star in the ganster drama Iljimae. It’s going to be a 20 episode historical drama airing on SBS. This seems more promising because he’s going to be playing a useless gangster by day and a chivalrous robber by night. It’s like Robin Hood. I don’t know why they are calling it a gangster drama when really it’s more like the Korean version of Robin Hood.
So, maybe he won’t be a sissy gangster but that’s what I first though when I heard he was playing another ganster in another drama. Lee Jun Ki is not the kind of man you won’t playing a ganster. I was so excited to start watching Time Between Dog and Wolf but then I saw him in the first scene in some cheesy high-octane car chase and it just didn’t work for me. His manager says that he’s purposefully been picking out “manly” roles after doing The King and the Clown. I find this hilarious. It’s not like he did a Korean version of Brokeback Mountain. Moving on, I find this new drama of his more promising and it doesn’t seem he’ll be so horribly miscast.
Okay, so maybe he WON’T be wearing tights…

Thanks to LJK, Korea is more popular than ever.
He may be a sissy gangster to some, but he totally kicked ass…
You’re lying if you say you never liked it…
Even my sister (who thinks he’s gay) liked it….
Come on. You gotta love Iljimae. You gotta love him now!
